BIO
Animationseries2000 is an artist duo from Hamburg who work in the areas of art installation, painting, illustration and experimental animated film. Their works have been shown in Hamburg, Copenhagen and London.
In 2020, the duo graduated with a joint MA-project at HAW Hamburg, class of Prof. Gesa Lange. Since then, they have received recognition in renowned publications such as Grafikmagazin (#3 2021), ItsNiceThat (2021) and Munchies Art Club (2024).
Several of their animated short films have been officially screened at film festivals in Europe and North and South America from 2016 to 2021.
In 2024 Animationseries2000 is supported with a grant by the Claussen-Simon-Foundation for an upcoming project.
ART PROJECTS
With our installations we bring different media such as painting, objects, experimental animation, whacko comics and illustration into an audio-visual form that aims to invite interaction.
In our works we deal with the aesthetic and cultural significance of everyday consumer worlds and their influence on people and society. Our installations intend to create alternative realities for viewers, opening the possibility to rediscover themselves as consumers in an entertaining and playful way . ︎
